HumCon 2007 Report
The Humboldt Convention 2007 (HumCon '07) was the first comic and anime convention held at Humboldt State University. I helped put it on, so I'm more than a little proud of it. It was sponsered by the Resident's Official Board of Technology (ROBOT) and a local gamer's paradise called NorthCoast Role Playing. The con was small, with only about five tables in the bottom floor of the J. There was me with TGP, Tealya from Yang Child and Tainted, Amy from Everything Goes, and another local student artist. I got to talk to lots of different people, spread some TGP fandom, and gave out lots of goodies. Financially, it was fairly decent. I didn't have enough money to order some more swag, so I had to work with what I already had. Did fairly well though and I was pleased for just a two day con. It's going to be going on again in '08 and I can't wait to be involved with it again! Photos!
