HumCon 2008 Report

Time once again for HumCon and the very first convention I've ever been to twice! This time around I was running the convention. And I mean that in every single sense of the word. I did advertising, the publications, the hand outs, the room layout, the artist call outs, the schedule, the tabling requests, the organization, buying prizes, working out the budget, managing a team of minions, etc, etc, etc.

Stressful much? Yeah. Just a bit.


So I was really worried it wouldn't go well and I'd be super disappointed because I put so much work into the whole thing but man was it was better than last year. I am going to have to say that I am awesome and HumCon benefitted from my awesome.

But on to the photogs!

First up we have the set up on the first day. Not everybody had arrived yet and my minions had just finished doing a bang up job of moving furniture to match my room layout I gave them. You can see my table as well as the Everything Goes table and a few other nifty artists.


Next is the represenatives from ROBOT (Resident's Official Board of Technology), the group sponsoring the event. Ravin (left) is the president, Brit-Brit (blonde wig) is the vice president, Micheala (middle and sorry if I spelled your name wrong) is the web tech. Alex is in the back (if you remember him from the '07 report).

Anime Club, or some members of it working on a 1000 Crane Project. Kassie and Staci are really cool and were big helps during the whole event. Guy in the stripes spent most of second day making me want to kick him in the face. >.o

And finally, a full shot of the size of the space we had for this convention. Not that big but the turn out was really good. I'm really pleased with it overall.
